Arrr, me mateys! Load ye blunderbuss & sharpen ye cutlass to be ready to play Hoard ‘N’ Plunder. A card game where you must protect your own treasure & steal from your opponents.

From designer Nicolas Pierce comes the print on demand card game Hoard ‘N’ Plunder. Hoard ‘N’ Plunder is for 2-6 players & can be played by ages 7 to adult. Hoard ‘N’ Plunder takes 10-15 minutes to play depending on how many players are participating.

In Hoard ‘N’ Plunder there are 90 total cards. 32 yellow treasure cards, 26 red attack cards, 24 green defense cards, & 8 blue special cards.

The object of the game is to be the first pirate to hoard ten treasure cards. Now this may seem easy but watch out for your opponents as each time they play an attack card they could steal treasure from you.

At the start of the game each player will be dealt seven cards. Then on a players turn they will draw a card, then play a card. A player must play a card, if they can not then they will draw another card. Now if the player can not play a card after that then they must pass their turn to their opponent.

Yellow treasure cards are probably the most important cards of the game. In order to win the game a player must be able to have ten of these cards in their treasure hoard. But a player must be weary of their opponents playing attack cards to plunder their treasures.

The red attack cards such as the Cutlass, the Blunderbuss, & the Pistol Each of these attack cards has a number value in the bottom left hard corner. These values range from 1-5. When played the attacking player may steal treasure up to the value listed on that attack card.

A player will want to keep in mind & to keep in hand the green defense cards. Block cards allow a player to only give up half of the treasure rounded down that is being plundered. Bribe cards might force the player to discard a card, but it still allows them to completely block any treasure from being stolen. And Dodge cards just completely block the stealing of treasure by an opponent.

The blue special cards are going to be an important part of quickly winning the game. Ruby cards are worth two treasures, while Treasure Chests can be discarded to draw three extra cards. The Swift card, if played correctly can be combined with any number of attack, treasure, and special cards.
