In parts one & two of my Games at NY Toy Fair 2017 I have talked about some of the new games coming from some of the biggest game publishers. It is exhilarating to see the awesome games coming out later this year. But I believe that even these game publishers had nothing on what Cryptozoic was showing off.

For the past five years Cryptozoic has been producing one of the greatest libraries of deck building games. These titles have seen fights between NHL Superstars, DC Superheroes, Hobbits, & Titans. Well at this year’s Toy Fair Cryptozoic was seen showing off a new round of deck-builders.

Their most recent IP, Rick & Morty, will be getting their own deck-building game called Rick & Morty: Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind. This will be available sometime in Q4 of this year. The picture below is just the prototype box art. Art for the game has not be finalized.

Speaking of Rick & Morty, Cryptozoic will also be releasing a tile-laying game set inside the body of a dying homeless man. It’ll be available sometime in July & it’ll be called Rick & Morty: Anatomy Park. I’m really hoping that it’ll be an odd version of Carcassonne.

Also shown was a second version to their Cartoon Network Crossover Crisis. This version looks to feature the Powerpuff Girls. It also looks like it’ll have Fiona & Cake from Adventure Time & Uncle Grandpa. This version will will be available sometime in Q2.

Cryptozoic has two new DC deck-building games along with Birds of Prey Crossover Pack #6.

Teen Titans Go! will be one of the new deck-building games released later this year. It’ll be available sometime in Q4.

Also in Q4 this year will be DC Comics Confrontations deck-building game. Confrontations is supposed to be based on the two player Rivals: Batman versus Joker deck-building game. This will include eight characters for four match-ups: Superman vs. Lex Luthor, Wonder Woman vs.  Circe, Aquaman vs.  Ocean Master, and Zatanna vs. Felix Faust. Confrontations will feature one versus one or team match-ups.

Cryptozoic will also be releasing a much needed “Big Box” for their DC Comic Deck-Building game. It’ll be available in June. I’m hoping that it’ll be available at Origins Game Fair.

Last year at Origins Game Fair 2016 Cryptozoic teased the game of GKR: Heavy Hitters from Weta Workshop.

At NY Toy Fair 2017, Cryptozoic showed off a little bit more of GKR: Heavy Hitters. GKR: Heavy Hitters is now available to be backed on Kickstarter: GKR Heavy Hitters. The Kickstarter project will be running through March 24th, 2017. The core game starts off at $99.

The one game coming from Cryptozoic that I can’t wait to get a hold of is Attack on Titan: The Last Stand. This tactical board game has everything you need from etched dice to Titans. This should be available sometime in Q2.

There is definitely a lot to take in from Cryptozoic this year. From Attack on Titan to Rick & Morty this will be a fun year of gaming.
