I admit that I love a good dice game. In fact I love dice games so much that over the past five years dice games have become one of my favorite things to play. I have collected thousands of dice.

So when a dice game comes up on Kickstarter I always have to give it a good look.

Right now on Kickstarter Fox Tale Games has their newest project Lucidity: Six-sided Nightmares ready to be funded. As of right now it has been funded & most of the stretch goals are already unlocked.

Lucidity: Six-sided Nightmares is a game for one to four players, ages fourteen to adult, & may take thirty minutes to play. The game was designed by Shannon Kelly.

In Lucidity: Six-sided Nightmares players will try to escape the nightmares, if they can not then they will want to embrace the monster within & become what lurks in the darkness.

At the beginning of the game players will receive a Dreamer card, a glass sleep marker, & a rules card. Starting with the first player they will, who was the last to have a nightmare, will choose one of three starting points on their Dream card. Doing this will set up their control. Then that player will draw dreams, dice, from a bag.

Once the dreams are drawn that player will pick two to return to the bag. After returning the dice to the bag, that player will then roll the remaining dice in their hand. That player will then match the symbols rolled & place them on the various rows of dreams on their Dreamer card. At this point players will resolve these one by one.

After placing their dice, that player will check to see if they have filled a row. In this phase a player may lose power, be eaten by the nightmares, or may become a Nightmare.

When a player becomes a Nightmare they will be able to consume other players power or send minions into the hands of another player.

The game can end in one of three ways, a player wins by having fifteen or more power, all players become nightmares, or one player goes to draw a Dream but there are no Dreams left to draw.

Be a player a Nightmare or a Dreamer, the player with the most points at the end of Lucidity: Six-sided Nightmare wins the game.

Lucidity can be backed here on Kickstarter: Lucidity: Six-sided Nightmares. There is some fantastic art on the page depicting the game, a few videos, & a link to play the game on Tabletopia. Lucidity: Six-sided Nightmare will be on Kickstarter until July 18th, 2017.

Hoping you can avoid the nightmares & game on!
